Goodbye October...

...hello November (& my busiest time of the year!)...

Oh my, what a month October has been.. It's all a bit of a struggle in the Mumford household... We try to remember that everyday is a new day and we're lucky to make it through each day, but with each day comes a constant battle with our little Sam.. We're still receiving support, but I think most efforts are in vain... I am working at every oppprtunity, playing mum and homemaker and it's taking it's toll...no one said parenting would ever be easy, it's difficulties are multiplied when there are children with additional needs to think of... Anyway, on a positive note, work had begun on a conversion so that all 3 boys will have their own space and sanctuary.. Adam is particularly pleased as he gets new bedroom and bathroom! It's exciting, and I'm embracing the fact that it might just be what dear little Sammy needs... Bless him... Mummybird Pretties goes from strength to strength, and I'm overwhelmed with work and also the compliments that I receive for each order and sale... My stall is looking beautiful at All Saints (pop down and say hi sometime!) 

...I am losing my head in the busy-ness of everything... I got the boys up and dressed early for school on Monday, bus didn't arrive for ages...checked school website and they have had 2 training days... The boys were very pleased about this...

...I was less so, I have SOOOO much work... But it was ok, I managed to juggle eveything... Including a minor head injury...!

 So, here we are November... We've enjoyed some fireworks... 

Let's hope it's a peaceful month, without any bangs!

Hello....

Thought you may like to see some random pics of what I've been up to...

...I've been a.busy girl... Seaside visits, London to see The Commitments, eating lots of lovely food...lots of Autumnal walks... Had a stinker of a cold, I found Wally...! Continue to become stronger with all that my little blu is throwing at me right now....and yep, I'm officially a Mudlarker (please excuse the corpse looking mugshot!!) 

How do you present stress and worry...?

Mine comes in the form of very bad skin! 

Check that out for a spot! It's been a very stressful few weeks for me... Sammy goes from bad to worse with a climb in the amount of seizures he is now enduring... His behaviour has also changed dramatically & we are due to see a psychologist next month to try and sort some strategies..or at least get an understanding of what's going on in his little world :(

In other news, Adam turned 16 (how did that happen!) he makes me proud every single day and is changing into a very gorgeous young man! Jack, he's just Jack and he is starting seniors in his special school in September.. He continues to make great progress and his little brain is just like a little sponge.. Although we don't think he's taking stuff on board, he truly is and will remind us of it weeks down the road!.. 

Mummybird Pretties continues to strive and I'm so thankful for continued support.. Typing from the workshop right now in fact...!

Well hello...

...too many months have past to fill you in on what's new with Mummybird.. I left my job, kids continue to make fabulous progress and it's nearly Christmas.. I will be using my blog a lot more in the new year.... Here's a few snaps of what has happened to Mummybird this year.... Will update soon... Yeah! Right...!

Where does the time go??!!.....

...I cannot believe that we are nearing the end of March already and I have to tell you ~ I'm pooped! 

It's all work and no play for Mummybird of late and I am desperate for the imminent Easter holiday to commence!... I am now working my little market stall on Sundays and I have to show you a couple of  my fellow stall holders... their work is amazing...

Pop over and say 'hello' to Les... he is the owner of The Hairy Growler (giggle!) his work is outstanding and he's a really nice guy! I want just about every piece he makes!...particularly with birds...!

...another talented Guy is Ian, he produces some really awesome pictures of Cambridge and surrounding areas and is the owner of Cambridge360... here is some of his work...

...there are far too many people to list, everyone is fabulous and everyone has made me feel very welcome too!...thanks folks! ♥

So what's new in the world of Claire?... I'm now selling my pieces in a beautiful new shop/tea room/piece of heaven on earth... The Crafty Cupcake it's a little gem and if you're in the vicinity, you should defo go pay a visit...even if just for the scrumptious smell as you walk through the door!...

Half term over...and what a week!...

...we've had some awful news on the family front, and it's not my place to post about it on here.. as a family, we are having to pull together and, try and remain strong for one another and I will do everything in my power to make this so...

...I have been offered a stall on Cambridge market which has blown me away! I am very excited about it and have been beavering away making pretty things...here are some of my pretties...

...you can find more in my Etsy shop!.. I was also lucky enough to be offered a stall at Ely market too but I'm not sure I could physically do both!..so with all the extra work, I finally got my girl shed... and here she is:

This week has flown by, just to make a change and I don't actually feel like I've had a week off! although, I have had some lovely times with the kids and me and Adam had some quality time on Friday, shopping for his new 'teenage' look bedroom...so glad that he still requires some mummybird input! ;-)

...have had a couple of lunch dates and afternoon tea dates...have eaten far too much cake this week!...

oops!

...have had some lovely orders this week from ELLE magazine customers which has been lovely...

...and Etsy has remained quite busy too.

Another busy week awaits, I am back to work tomorrow, but it's just my half day and I am  going straight to the travel agents afterwards to book this...

YAY!!! I am taking the boys in May, doesn't look like Marky will get the time off, so it's a little adventure for Mummybird and her boys!♥...

so a week of meetings, work, making, accumulating storage ideas for my little haven etc etc... there's never a dull moment in the world of Mummy bird!
