Oh my!, *quick gasp*...it's been almost 6 weeks since my last post!!...

...as you can see, I've had a bit of a change of hair colour...more like my natural colour - I like it!
Well, since before Christmas, lil' mummybird here has pretty much been on the accelerator pedal and trying a little too hard to be Wonder Woman...

which had a knock on affect in the for of me having a complete mental 'wobble' and a very poorly start to 2012...
...but, after lots of TLC and rest,
and a reduction in working hours, I am back, fighting fit,
...and raring to go again!

Over on Etsy, Mummybird Pretties goes from strength to strength, becoming more and more established every day!...
Go see my lovely shop! I have some really special things in there (& guys, it's still not too late for ♥'s day!!!)

ELLE Magazine was a great success too and have lots of orders as a result, I am having to turn down advertising now ~ struggling as it is to keep up with demand, not to mention the prices some of these companies charge! and besides...I finally have my 'girl shed', 'garden studio'...whatever you want to call it on order...work commences inside a fortnight, I cannot wait! It's being built from scratch, but this is is very similar to mine...
...oooh I am excited! It will mean that I don't have beads, wire, plates, tools and everything else scattered in different parts of the house!!... I am already planning how I am going to kit it out, once up.. my lovely daddy is insulating it for me and racking up shelves when and where I need them - have got my eye on a couple of vintage desks too! It's going to be a little haven and sanctuary for me to carry on doing what I love...creating very special pieces...still going along the vintage theme, these are some of my recent pieces...

What do you think? Nice, huh?...

Back to the family, we've had lots of fun out in the snow:

little Sammy turns 8 on Saturday!
(Geek!)
He wanted to got to St. Paul's Cathedral in London to celebrate the turning of a year older, but it's not open to tourists/sight seeing on Sundays, so looks like we're off to the transport museum in Covent Garden! (I will try and look as enthusiastic as I can whilst walking around the old tube trains etc!)
and Jack, he turned 10 in December...,
I found that quite difficult, him in double figures, coz, he's not really 10, more like 5 or 6 and I think that may have been the start of my wobble, worrying about their future...won't go into that now though!
♥♥♥
I didn't make any new year resolutions, they tend not to last much more than the first week of January! I am knuckling down though, getting lots of work, but also making time for me ~ I don't get much and what I get I try and make quality time, this may in the form of walks out and about with my camera...pretty much like this morning...

...and of course, my beloved books...
(I am in receipt of some little treasures!)

Well, that's kinda me for now, sorry I've been a stranger!...
I'll try hard not to leave it so long until the next post!

Loving the look of all your bits and pieces, will have to go check out your shop. Also very jealous of your new girlie shed - I want one!

Hello Sarah! Thank you for your sweet comments! I've needed somewhere to do my work for ages, finally bit the bullet and ordered one... Got a lot of work still to do, it's being insulated, rigged ip to some electricity, painted and then racked out with shelving...phew! Will be worth it though! So, feel free to make a purchase from my shop, I need all the £££'s I can get! ;-)
Nice to hear from you xxx
